H13 steel is suitable for any FFF/FDM 3D printer and can be sintered in a tubular furnace in argon or nitrogen atmophere.

Features Specs Support
Zetamix H13 Tool Steel has the big advantage that is does not require tricky debinding in acetone or nitirc acid - the binder is simply burnt out in the furnace at a lower temperature for a time, before ramping up to sintering temperature.

H13 steel

This steel is commonly used for hot or cold work tooling application and allows the production of a wide variety of tools such as extrusion die or injection mold. Moreover this material has a high level of ductility, thermal and electrical conductivity and resistance to corrosion.

Advantages

- Density of more than 90%
- Suitable for internal tooling
- High temperature resistant
- Excellent ductility

Disadvantages

All metal sintering filaments shrink and slump during sintering. Therefore:
- Supports should be left on during sintering, and must be revomed once fully metal (cutting or grinding)
- Allowances mut be made for shrinkage during sintering. This will depend on the part shape, but can be generalised by oversizing 119.7% in the X+Y, 120.5% in the Z direction
- See support tab for more information and guides
