This Bilby3D ABS 1.75mm filament is transparent (not like glass, but definitely semi see through).
The amount of transparency you can achieve will depend on your temperature (slightly higher gives better transparency), your 3D Printer and other settings.
Setting the filament size as 1.7mm will cause your printer to over-extrude (push out too much plastic), so the beads of plastic will squish together more while printing. By using this sort of technique to exclude more air, and making the plastic more solid, will give better transparency.
With some prints you can also
anneal the print once it is complete by placing it in an oven and JUST softening it.
This filament has been extensively tested and works well with standard ABS settings.
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a standard Engineering plastic such as used in car bumpers and helmets. It is known for not being as brittle as PLA, but not as flexiable than PET filament.
It has the drawbacks of a higher shrinkage rate than PLA (can lead to prints curling or splitting in extreme cases) and generally requiring a heated bed on your 3D printer.
We have tested this on over 10 different types of 1.75mm extruding machines with heated beds such as Makerbots, FlashForge, UPs, Printrbots and many more.

PLA Filament - 1.75mm - Transparent - 1kg Spool
This Bilby3D PLA filament is clear. The optical clarity will depend on how well each strand of filament that is printed melts with the surrounding material. If the strands are not pushed together, the curves of the strands will bend light giving it a white appearance (same way that air bubles in water look white). We have had some success with annealing the printed part by placing in an oven at around 60-80 degrees for 5-10mins.
