After printing it also smells like wood and can be sanded and painted in the same way as wood.
The print texture is simply beautiful and it hides print layers nicely, without making extremely thin
layers. Even tree rings are possible by varying the extrusion temperature throughout print (an option in cura and some other slicing software), which results in different shades of brown.
No heated bed is necessary and it is warp-free We print on Blue tape (buildtak holds too strong and can tear print when removing. Recommended extruder temperatures 185-230 degrees Celsius.
We have tested this filament on the following machines: Flashforge Dreamer, Printrbot Simple Metal, Makerbot Replicator 2, Makerbot R5, Z18 and Mini without issue

You can print wood filament on the Inventor 2 SE, Guider.....etc (most machines) using standard brass 0.4 nozzles.
Wood filament is not abrasive, and in most cases prints at standard PLA settings. It is however more runny than standard PLA.
We found the more liquid nature of Wood filament has lead customers to try to print at too low temperatures (Eg 190) causing mid print stopping. We print at 210-215 on most machines, 220 tops. Wood (as in all fibre materials) is more spiderwebby due to the fibres, Spider webbing usually wipes away easily by hand after print is done.
When you have printed at a temp that is too low extrusion can thin to nothing, and may appear crumbly. It may stop printing mid way through. Load /unload is usually achievable after the fail with pressure by hand to assist
Heat creep
Heat creep is when heat rising causes filament to melt too earlier in the extruder system. Some customers are also experiencing heat creep with wood as this material melts very easily and seems to be more susceptible to this, especially if they are printing at higher temps. In these cases the material carbonises and it is very difficult to load or unload filament afterwards.
ALSO make sure hood is off and possible door open for max air flow.
We hope this helps
